COLLINSVILLE, Ill.– The first game of a two-game road trip into Illinois ended in heartbreak for the Drury Panthers as they lost to Illinois Springfield 1-0 in overtime on Friday in Collinsville.
Drury fell to 6-6 in what was their fourth overtime game this season. The Prairie Stars went to 4-2-3 with the win.
The two teams battled to a scoreless draw through one half, and the regulation ended in a 0-0. 11:04 into the overtime, Illinois Springfield put in the game-winner as Jay Younger scored his first goal of the season with an assist from Conal Gallagher.

Yannick Lamers had eight saves before the goal from UIS, while Prairie Stars' keeper Pijus Petkevicius also had eight saves in the win.
The Panthers fell to 2-2 in overtime games, none of which have ended in a tie so far this year.
Drury will look to bounce back on Sunday when they play at Quincy for a 2:30 pm game in Quincy, Illinois.
