Drury renews rivalry with Rockhurst on Friday
The Drury Panthers renew their rivalry against Rockhurst on Friday at 5 pm at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Drury is 9-5, 2-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and will look to rebound from a 3-1 loss at Missouri S&T on Tuesday. Rockhurst is 8-5 and 3-1 in the GLVC. The Hawks have been idle since Saturday when they swept Maryville 3-0 in St. Louis.
 
The Hawks won both games against Drury with a 3-1 win in Kansas City on Feb. 5, and they edged the Panthers in five sets in Springfield on April 2. Prior to last season, Drury and Rockhurst have split six meetings that included a Rockhurst win in the 2018 GLVC championship game in East Peoria, Illinois. The Hawks lead the all-time series 47-16.
 
After Friday's game, the Panthers return to the road for a game at Quincy on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7 pm.
