ST. LOUIS, Mo.– Maryville kept the Drury Panthers off of the scoreboard and advanced in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament with a 1-0 win in the quarterfinals on Sunday in St. Louis, Missouri.
 
The Saints, the third seed on the conference bracket, advance to the semifinals with a 9-2-6 record, while Drury fell to 6-3-8.
 
Maryville, who went undefeated in the league regular season with a 6-0-6 conference record, got on the board late in the first half. Elsa Nilson-Hurtig scored her first goal of the year and put the Saints on the board in the 31^st minute, getting an assist from Madison Canoy.
 
The Saints defense only allowed six shots and did not surrender a shot on goal. Drury goalkeeper Kaitlin Knetzke saw eight shots and made three saves in the loss.
 
Maryville will play will the winner of second-seeded McKendree and number seven Indianapolis in the semifinals on Friday.
