OZARK, Mo. – The Drury Panthers pulled off a miraculous rally to win 12-11 in the first game of a doubleheader on their way to a sweep of McKendree on Saturday at US Baseball Park in Ozark. Drury won the second game 10-3 to raise their record to 17-6 and 2-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Bearcats fell to 6-15 and 1-2 in the league.
In game one, Drury trailed McKendree 11-6 going into their last at-bat in the seventh but scored six runs to take the win. The Panthers tied the game at 11-11 when pinch-runner Isaac Amman scored on a wild pitch from third base. A batter later, pinch-hitter
DJ McNew sent a ball to the centerfield fence driving home
Aaron Mann for the winning run.
Mann went 3 for 4 in the game with a double, three runs batted in, and two runs scored.
Brant Schaffitzel was 2 for 3 with two RBIs.
Drury was behind 3-1 in the third inning of game two but posted four runs in the bottom half of that frame and closed out the day with a 10-3 victory.

Stephen Randazzo sent home two more with an extra-base hit.
Tyler Bastunas capped the inning with an RBI-single to give the Panthers a 5-3 lead.
Drury tacked on a two-run home run by
Wes Collins and the left-fielder finished the day going 2 for 4 with three RBI's. Randazzo was 2 for 3 with two RBI's and Mann with 2 for 4 to extend his hitting streak to 10 games.
Cade Waits (2-1) got the complete-game win for the Panthers, going seven innings allowing three hits, three runs, but only one earned run with three walks and eight strikeouts.
The two teams conclude their four-game series on Sunday. The first pitch is scheduled for noon at US Baseball Park in Ozark.
