Men's team wins, women's squad drops dual vs. Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury men's swimming & diving team picked up a win over Missouri State, while the DU women's squad lost in duals against Missouri State at the Breech Pool on the Drury campus Friday night. The Panthers men's team won 145-98, sweeping the season series against the Bears. The Bears' women's team won 163-68.
 
Men's Highlights
  • Kham Glass won the 50 Free, posting a time of 20.15. He also picked up a victory in the 100 Free, winning by nearly two seconds with a time of 44.82
  • Andrew Rodriguez took first in the 200 IM (1:49.02), while Alejandro Villarejo took second (1:50.66)
  • Cole Earl won the 3-meter diving competition with 355.43 points, and he took the 1-meter competition with 530.55
  • Dominik Karacic got the win in the 100 Fly with a time of 47.43 and Villarejo was second again with a time of 48.61
  • Nathan Bighetti and Andrew Rodriguez were a close 1-2 in the 100 Back as Bighetti won with a time of 48.65 and Rodriguez was right behind him with a time of 48.88
  • Anisse Djaballah won the 500 Free (4:28.95), winning by more than five seconds
  • Davi Mourao was first in the 100 Breast, getting to the wall in 55.55
  • The Panthers closed the dual with a win in the 200 Free Relay as Oskar Sawicki, Karacic, Aiden Scott, and Glass combined for a time of 1:21.94 and won by 2.12 seconds
Women's Highlights
  • Lexie Waller picked up a win in the 100 Back with a time of 55.41
  • Josie Bushell was second in the 200 Free with a time of 1:52.26
  • Kasia Rogowska finished second in the 50 Free (23.55)
  • Claire Conover was the runner-up in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.13, and took a second-place finish in the 100 Breast (1:02.95)
  • Ashlyn Moore came in second in the 100 Free (51.47)
 
Both Drury teams compete again and will celebrate Senior Day with a two-day dual against Oklahoma Christian Jan. 27-28 at Breech Pool.
