The Panthers remain undefeated on the road after a two-game sweep over the Illinois State University Redbirds in Bloomington, IL Oct. 27-28.

After getting off to a 4-1 start against the Redbirds in Game 1 behind goals from Patty Labutis, Matt Teasdale, Luke Kangas and Hayden Doggett, Illinois State rattled off four-straight goals in the third period to take a 5-4 lead. However, Panthers leading scorer Keegan Ferguson tied the game with two minutes left in regulation, sending the game to overtime. After scoreless overtime, the game went to a shootout where Panthers forward Ethan O'Rourke led off with a goal, while Brett Sweet stopped all three Redbirds shot attempts to give Drury their fifth-straight road win.

Game two was a low-scoring, but equally tight affair. Francis Young-Ménard scored midway through the first period and that 1-0 lead held until the Redbirds tied the game just 27 seconds into the third period. The game remained tied through regulation, sending it into yet another overtime affair, but no shootout was needed as Ferguson scored just 39 seconds into the extra period to finish off the weekend sweep.

The Panthers next travel to St. Louis, MO to take on Saint Louis University Nov. 3-4.
