KIRKSVILLE, Mo.– Truman State rallied from two sets down to win a five-set match against Drury on Saturday night in Kirksville, Missouri.
 
The Panthers won the opening set 25-22, then took a two-set lead with a 25-20 win in the second set. The Bulldogs turned the match around with a 25-12 win in the third, then a 25-11 victory in the fourth set. Truman State's momentum carried into the fifth set as they scored the first four points on their way to a 15-8 win to clinch the match.
 
Kayli Duncan and Emily Strauss both had nine kills to lead the Panthers. Lauren Tyler had 33 assists for Drury.
 
Jessica Proszenyak had a game-high 14 kills for Truman State and added a team-high 18 digs. Allison Beaton also chipped in with 10 kills.
 
The match marked the sixth time this season Drury has gone to five sets and they have gone the distance three times in their last four matches. It was the fifth five-set match for Truman State but the third time in five conference matches.
 
The Panthers play again next weekend in the Regional Crossover Tournament on Oct. 13-14 in Hammond, Indiana. Pairings and the schedule for the three-game event will be announced next week.
