EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Drury Women's Soccer fell in overtime to McKendree in the semifinal round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

The Panthers got on the board first when senior forward
Elsa Gonzalez scored in the 54
th minute with an assist by
Tara Simon. The Panthers took nine total shots in the contest, three of which were on goal.

McKendree struck back in the 58
th minute when Katie Spotanski scored with a header into the back of the net from a free kick by Morgan Bova. With the game tied at 1-1, Drury and McKendree both had attempts to win in regulation, but neither team could get a shot to fall. In overtime, McKendree took a 2-1 lead after a shot from Anna Stiffler found the corner of the net. The Bearcats were able to hold onto their lead and win the game, surviving several shot attempts from the Panthers.

Drury now has a record of (12-4-3) and ended the regular season with their best conference record in team history at (9-2-2). The Panthers will now wait to see if they will be picked for a NCAA Tournament bid on Sunday.

McKendree moves on to the GLVC Championship to take on the winner of the Maryville and Lewis game on Sunday.
