Panthers fall to McKendree in four sets

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – McKendree defeated Drury in four sets on Saturday.
 
Drury ends the season at 6-22 and 3-10 in conference play. McKendree moves to 15-12 and 5-8 in conference play.
 
The Panthers were able to defeat the Bearcats in the first set, taking it 26-24 after a close back and forth battle. McKendree made a late run in the second set, separating from the Panthers to take a 25-18 win. McKendree continued their strong run to win set three 25-19. The Bearcats finished the game with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.
 
Destiny Gray of McKendree and Emily Strauss of Drury led both teams with 16 kills and Amber Williams led both teams with 42 assists. Stormi Tadlock of Drury had a game high three aces in the contest.
 
The Great Lakes Valley Conference will announce the bracket for the conference tournament later this week.
