SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Drury Lady Panthers took down Missouri Baptist 114-74 on Thursday, move to 3-0 on the season.

The Lady Panthers took control of the contest early, putting together scoring quarters of 28 points and 30 points in the first half and rolling to a 58-26 lead at intermission.

"We believe in Makaiya, I don't care if she goes 0-10 on the night before, the next night, when she touches leather, it has a chance to go in," said Drury head coach Kaci Bailey.

In addition to Brooks, the Lady Panthers placed five others in double figures on the day.  Senior Andjela Kremenovic finished with 16, senior Quincy Erickson added 15, while junior Caitlynn Daniels dropped in 14.  Freshman Sara Mendel had 13 and junior Anna Hitt closed with 10.

Hitt, also had nine assists for the game, as Drury would total 32 assists on their 43 made attempts as a team.

"We talk about moving the ball and sharing the ball a lot," said Bailey. "I think we gave up some good shots to get great shots and it was really unselfish basketball by everyone today."

Missouri Baptist, which dropped to 1-3 on the season was led in scoring by Tyler Butler, who had a team best 16.

The Lady Panthers will next see action against Davenport, in the opening night of the Oasis Hotel and Convention Center Thanksgiving Classic, Tuesday, November 21st at 5:30 at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
