Panthers return home to play conference foes this weekend
The Drury Panthers return to Springfield this weekend to play two Great Lakes Valley Conference foes in #2 Missouri-St. Louis and McKendree. The Panthers will play the Tritons on Friday at 6 p.m. and will celebrate senior day against McKendree at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will be played at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Drury enters these two matches at 6-20 and 3-8 in the GLVC. The Panthers are returning home from a two-game road trip where they finished with a win and loss. The Panthers fell just short against the nationally ranked Rockhurst Hawks in Kansas City, and then picked up a win against William Jewell in Liberty. Kayli Duncan had 15 kills and Lauren Tyler had 51 assists in the win against the Cardinals.

Missouri-St. Louis enters Friday's contest as the second ranked team in the nation, with an undefeated record of 26-0. The Tritons have picked up wins against four ranked teams this season, including #13 Lewis, in a contest that went five sets. As of the latest national ranking poll, the Tritons place just behind Wayne State, who has been number one for several weeks this season.

McKendree travels to Bolivar to take on Southwest Baptist on Friday, and will drive to Springfield to play the Panthers the following day. The Bearcats currently have a record of 13-12 and a 3-8 record in conference play. McKendree currently is on a two-game winning streak, with victories over Quincy and Illinois Springfield. The Bearcats find themselves currently one game outside of securing a spot for the GLVC Tournament.
