CHESTERFIELD, Mo.— Drury opened a two-match road trip with a 6-1 win at Missouri-St. Louis at the Forest Lake Tennis Club in Chesterfield on Friday.
 
The Panthers improved to 6-3, while the Tritons went to 3-8 in a non-conference match.
 
Drury took a 1-0 lead, winning two of the three doubles matches. The doubles point was decided by Drury's number one team of Mark Drozdetskii and Yaroslav Sharvy, winning a 7-6 dual. It was the sixth-straight win for the duo.
 
The Panthers then took five of the six singles matches. Sharvy, playing for the first time in Drury's number one singles position, defeated Jose Mayorga 6-3, 6-3, to improve to 7-1 on the season. Marlon Wilken, Tjade Bruns, Louka Queguiner, and Mark Drozdetskii all picked up wins. The Panthers were without the lead singles player, Sylvain Garin-Michaud.
 
Drury continues the road trip on Saturday as they travel to Illinois Springfield for a match at noon in Springfield, Illinois.
