
Rolla, Mo– The Drury Panthers defeated Missouri S&T in both games of their Saturday doubleheader. Drury won the first game 5-4 and emerged victorious in game two with a final score of 12-4.

The Panthers move to 15-11 on the season, while sending Missouri S&T to 9-13.

Game one saw the Miners score first on a solo homerun by Doug Wood in the fourth inning. The Panthers got rolling in the fifth inning when
Connor Bain homered to left center to tie the game. The offense was just getting started as
Luke Burk drove in
Kaden Byrne with a double to left, making it a 2-1 Drury lead. Â
Max Elmer added another run, driving in
Brooks Sunny with a sacrifice fly to right field.Â

The Miners scored three runs over the next two innings, retaking the lead to make it a 4-3 ballgame. The Panthers found life from a
Cooper Munro groundout, which scored
Tyler Bastunas. It was
Luc Fuller who delivered the winning run after driving a double to left center, scoring Byrne and making it a 5-4 Drury lead.

Cody Bahl started the game for the Panthers, tossing 6.2 innings and striking out seven, while allowing two runs.Â
Mason Majors (1-0) was the winning pitcher, closing out the game with a clutch performance.

In today's second game, Drury defeated the Miners once more, with a final score of 12-4. The Panthers grabbed an early lead and never looked back, with great performances at the plate and on the mound.
