INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— The Drury Panthers dropped their road doubleheader games against the Indianapolis Greyhounds at Greyhound Park on Friday in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Drury's record fell to 20-6 while Indianapolis jumped to 6-5.

In game one, Indianapolis got on the scoreboard early but an explosive top of the second inning, highlighted by a
Cooper Munro 2-run homerun gave the Panthers a 4-1 lead. Indianapolis answered back with a run in the bottom of the second and third innings to give the Panthers a one-run lead. Consecutive one-run innings in the fourth, fifth, and sixth gave the Panthers a 7-3 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth. A five-run sixth by the Greyhounds flipped the script on Drury and the Panthers were unable to answer with the final score being 8-7.

Mason Meeks went 5.1 and was settled with the loss. Indianapolis's Austin Bestul earned the win after pitching the sixth and seventh.

Game two went from bad to worse for Drury. The Panthers started the second contest by going down in order the first time through the lineup while giving up 12 runs in the same span. Drury ended up with only six base runners in the game with five being walks and one reaching on a wild pitch.

Cade Waits was settled with the loss as Brady Ware got the win for the hosts.

The Panthers finish the series with Indianapolis tomorrow at noon.
