SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury lost their fifth straight match on Friday at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. The Panthers lost to the Maryville Saints 25-23, 20-25, 25-20, and 27-25 to move to 1-12 on the year and 0-3 in the GLVC.

The first set was tight all throughout with eight ties. The Panthers either were tied or led until the Saints took the last three points to claim set one. Set two saw the Saints take an early lead until the Panthers rattled off an 8-1 run. In the third set, Maryville held the lead from the start and never looked back, while the fourth set was the most entertaining of them all. The Panthers led 21-14 at one point before the Saints made an 8-1 run of their own to level the set at 23-23. After multiple battles the visitors ran off victorious, claiming set four and the game, 27-25.

Drury fell to 1-12 on the season, 0-3 in the GLVC, while Maryville goes to 9-4, 2-1 in the conference.

Kayli Duncan led the way for the Panthers with 15 kills and a .303 hitting percentage.
Juliana Squire earned 13 kills herself whilst also making 22 digs.
Lexi Basler led Drury in the digs department with 27 and
Lauren Tyler had 42 assists.

Ella Brinkman led the Saints in kills with 17, while Hannah Dressler and Grace Graham also had double-digit kills with 13 and 12 respectively. Taylor Hasbrook had 27 digs for the visitors while Rachel Schipper and Abbie Schnell had 23 and 21 assists.

The Panthers will be at home tomorrow at the O'Reilly Family Event Center as they face Missouri S&T at 3 p.m.Â
