KEARNEY, Neb.– The Drury Panthers opened their weekend trip to Kearney, Neb., with a 3-0 win over Eastern New Mexico on Friday.
The Panthers improved to 2-1 and dropped the Greyhounds to 1-1-2.
Drury got on the board early as
Tara Simon scored in the game's second minute as
Halley Kemmer picked up the assist. The Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the 18
th minute as
Danielle Buker, a freshman from Jefferson City (Helias HS) scored the first goal of her collegiate career.
Drury capped off their scoring in the second half as
Andrea Camargo found the net in the 79
th minute on an assist from
Bella Hernandez.
The Panthers owned a 13-4 advantage in shots and Drury goalkeeper
Kaitlin Knetzke had two saves while earning her second shutout of the season.
The Panthers conclude their road trip on Sunday when they play host Nebraska-Kearney at 2 pm.
