Panthers conclude homestand vs. Missouri S&T 
Drury plays their final contest in a three-game homestand on Saturday at 1 pm against Missouri S&T in the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
 
The Panthers won the second of two home games on Thursday, with a 71-62 win over Maryville. Drury enters Saturday's game 9-5, 2-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and has gone 7-1 on their home court so far this season.
 
Missouri S&T is 9-4 and 3-3 in the GLVC. The Miners are coming off a 78-59 win at Southwest Baptist on Thursday, their first road win of the season. Missouri S&T is 1-2 on the road this season.
 
The Miners won both games against Drury last year, taking the contest in Springfield, 82-79 on Nov. 28, 2022, and winning in Rolla, 81-73, on Feb. 2., 2023. The Panthers lead the all-time series, though, 85-39.
 
Juok Riak leads Drury, averaging 15.2 points and his .658 shooting percentage leads the GLVC. Logan Applegate, averaging 14.1 points, is coming off a 29-point game on Thursday against Maryville, and leads the conference in three-pointers made with 40.
 
Next week, the Panthers go on the road and travel to Upper Iowa for a 7:30 pm game on Thursday, then play at Truman State at 3 pm on Jan. 20.
 
About the Miners
Missouri S&T features a high-scoring offense averaging 80.7 points per game, third-best in the GLVC. On the defensive end, the Miners are tied for the conference lead in blocked shots, averaging 5 per contest.
 
Ikenna Okeke leads Missouri S&T in scoring, averaging 14.2 points and he ranks eighth in the GLVC in rebounding, averaging 6.4. Lovell Williams averages 13.5 points and is third in the league in assists, averaging 5 per game.
