Panthers at home vs. Illinois Springfield 
The Drury Panthers host Illinois Springfield on Saturday for a 3 pm tipoff. Before Saturday's tipoff, the Drury basketball will honor the late Robert Yanders, the former Missouri State standout, founder of The Basketball Movement and We Are United Prep. The Panthers coaching staff and team will make a special presentation to the Yanders family before Saturday's game. 
 
Drury enters Saturday's game 10-8 and 3-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers are coming off an 83-78 loss at home to Quincy on Thursday.
 
Illinois Springfield is 14-6, 7-3 in the GLVC, and has won their last two games. The Prairie Stars started their road trip on Thursday with a 66-63 win at Southwest Baptist.
 
Drury's Logan Applegate enters Saturday's game with double-doubles in his last two contests. The sophomore from Nevada had 22 points and a career-high 12 rebounds on Thursday against Quincy, and produced 16 points with 10 boards last Saturday at Truman State. Last year's Freshman of the Year in the GLVC has three double-doubles this season and is averaging 15.6 points and 5.7 rebounds for the year.
 
The Prairie Stars won the previous meeting against Drury, 79-75, on Jan. 3 in Springfield, Illinois, but Drury leads the all-time series 14-6.
 
After Saturday's game, the Panthers play again on Feb. 3 at Southwest Baptist for a 3 pm game in Bolivar.
 
About the Prairie Stars
Illinois Springfield is the conference's second-leading offense, averaging 81.3 points, and they lead the GLVC in scoring margin, outscoring opponents by 10.7 points per game.
 
The Prairie Stars are coached by Matt Brock, a former All-Ozark Conference performer having played at Camdenton. He is in his fifth year at Illinois Springfield after a head coaching stint at Missouri Baptist.
 
Jordan Rice leads UIS in scoring, averaging 15.8 points, and he is second in the GLVC in assists, averaging 5.0 per game. The Prairie Stars have the GLVC's leader in three-point percentage, Jayden Johnson (.500), and in three's made, Max Kunnert (2.9 per game).
