SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury men's swimming & diving team opened the 2024-25 season with a dual win at Missouri S&T, 142-63, on Friday night in Rolla. The Panthers won 9 of the 11 events on their way to the win.
 
Highlights

• The Panthers opened the competition with a win in the 400 Medley Relay as Ivan Adamchuk, Davi Mourao, Alejandro Villarejo, and Yuri Cabral combined for a time of 3:27.31
• Colby Hughes won the 1000 Free by more than nine seconds as he posted a time of 9:50.24
• Lucas Mineur took first in the 50 Free (20.62)
• Joao Nogueria finished first in the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.41
• Alejandro Villarejo took the 200 Fly posting a time of 1:53.85
• Yuri Cabral got to the wall first in the 100 Free (46.37)
• Alvaro Zornoza won the 200 Back with a time of 1:51.62
• Drury also got a win from Josue Hernandez-Tellez as he captured with 500 Free (4:43.66)
• The Panthers wrapped up the night with a win in the 400 Free Relay as Mineur, Viktor Khnykin, Aiden Scott and Marwane Sebbata teamed up for a time of 3:08.32

 
Drury competes again with a diving competition at Clarion University on Oct. 11 and 12 and their full men's and women's swim teams return to action Oct. 25 at Missouri State.
