LEMONT, Ill.— Drury jumped five spots to finish in sixth place in a field of 17 teams at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate Tournament, hosted by Lewis, at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, Illinois, on Tuesday.
The Panthers shot a +18, 306 on Tuesday to finish the tournament 44-over-par (620) and jumped from 11
th to sixth. Drury had the fourth-best round as a team in Tuesday's second and final round. Aurora won the tournament, shooting 27-over-par (603), and slipped past Wisconsin Parkside by one shot.
Hunter Jowers led Drury, shooting an eight-over-par 152 in the tournament to finish tied for 13
th among 96 players. Jowers posted a four-over, 76 on Tuesday and moved up eight spots on the individual leadboard.
Gaige Lewis had Drury's best round of the tournament on Tuesday as he shot a three-over-par 75 and jumped 24 spots to end the event tied for 19
th (+10, 154).
Wil Claywell tied for 29
th (+12, 156),
Max Ellis tied for 36
th (+14, 158), and Ellstron Bostrom tied for 73
rd (+22, 166).
Francis Gavars, playing as an individual, came in tied for 16
th with a nine-over-par, 153.
Andrew Conrad from Wisconsin Parkside won the tournament, finishing one-over-par (145).
Drury returns to play Oct. 21-22 in the Davenport Invitational in Ada, Michigan.
