Drury host Southwest Baptist for Senior Day
Southwest Baptist comes to Springfield for the regular season finale against Drury.
 
The Panthers are riding a two-game winning streak into the season finale against SBU. Drury took down Rockhurst and William Jewell on the road last weekend. Joe Loughnane was just named the conference's offensive player of the week with his four points last weekend. He leads the league in assists. Carson Morgan ranks second among players in the conference in goals with seven. Drury currently sits at fifth place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) with 18 points. The Panthers do have a few scenarios where they can clinch a spot in the conference postseason on Friday without even touching the field. Drury's easiest way to clinch a playoff spot is to win on Sunday and leave no doubt. With a win Drury will clinch the fifth seed and most likely have to travel to either McKendree or Lewis for the GLVC Quarterfinals. A loss or tie would result in Drury having to see their fate based on other results around the league.
 
Following Southwest Baptist's game on Friday against Missouri S&T they will head to Springfield to take on Drury. The Bearcats sit at the bottom of the GLVC and could play spoiler to the Panthers' playoff hopes. SBU has dropped ten games in a row but have not won a game since September 15 against league leading Maryville.
 
After the completion of all GLVC games on Sunday, the league will announce matchups and locations for the conference tournament.
