Panthers tab seven for All-GLVC

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced their 2024 women's soccer all-conference teams on Tuesday, November 12.
 
Drury had seven players named to three different teams, with Andrea Camargo, Kourtney Tucker, and Holland Hawkins being first-team selections. Audrey Camargo, Katy Fitzler, and Elena Perez made the second team. Ines Villanueva Casal was the lone third-team selection for the Panthers.
 
Senior, Andrea Camargo was named to her fourth All-GLVC team and second first team selection. Last season, Camargo was the conference' defender of the year. This season, Camargo has recorded two points in 20 games played. In conference play she played all but 17 minutes. Camargo has been a staple in the Panthers back line that had 12 shutouts in the regular season.
 
Senior, Kourtney Tucker was selected to her second consecutive first team All-GLVC. Tucker was also a third team pick in 2022. This season, Tucker has six goals and four assists throughout her 20 games played. Tucker recorded two game winning goals this season against Indianapolis and Southwest Baptist.
 
Junior, Holland Hawkins received her first All-GLVC pick in her first season at Drury. The Missouri – Kansas City transfer put up 20 points on the season, all off goals. Ten goals put her fourth in the GLVC. Hawkins has taken the most shots in the team this season with 55. Hawkins was named the conference's offensive player of the week on September 30 with her three-goal weekend against McKendree and Maryville.

Audrey Camargo was named to the second-team All-GLVC. Last season, the senior was third team. In the regular season, Camargo had two goals and an assist. In the postseason, she was responsible for the goal that sent Drury to the GLVC Semifinals with an overtime goal against Indianapolis.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper, Katy Fitzler was named to her first All-GLVC team. In Fitzler's first season of play, she allowed eight goals in 20 games for a goals-against average of .40. Fitzler has a save percentage of .826, which is third-best in the league. Fitzler leads the league in shutouts with 13, she is one shutout away from tying the Drury single-season shutout record, which was set last season by 2023 GLVC Goalkeeper of the Year Kaitlin Knetzke.
 
Elena Perez was named to her first All-GLVC selection. The junior is fourth in the conference in assists with eight. Perez also tallied a goal in the regular season against Lewis, this was her first career. One of the captains on this Drury team had her best performance of the season against Lincoln when she recorded three assists.
 
Senior midfielder, Ines Villanueva Casal was selected to the third team. This is Villanueva Casal's first All-GLVC selection. This season she scored four goals and had two assists. Villanueva Casal is three for three on penalty kicks this season with makes against Maryville, Emporia State, and Southwest Baptist.
 
The Panthers play on Thursday at 4 p.m. against McKendree in the GLVC Semifinals. The match is played in St. Louis at Creve Couer Complex. The winner of the game will play the winner of Maryville and Missouri–St. Louis for a chance to secure the GLVC tournament title and an automatic bid into the NCAA-II tournament.
