Springfield, MO – While any first-year program will undoubtedly have a series of historic firsts, the Drury University Panthers M1 program is collecting historic moments at a rapid rate.

With a third of their season in the books, the Panthers sit at 9-1-0 and #11 in the first computer ranking of the 2024-25 ACHA M1 season and while the computer rankings will have big fluctuation over the first few weeks while enough total games are played to settle things, the start for the Panthers places them in solid position for their postseason goals.

Currently on a seven-game winning streak, the Panthers are led offensively by transfer Joe Davidson, who leads a large group of DU players with double-digit point totals, 10 players to be exact. Davidson's 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists) are just one better than freshman Anmol Garcha (6 goals, 9 assists) and Panthers captain, sophomore Jakob Holley (4 goals, 11 assists) and two better than transfer K-T Walters (6 goals, 8 assists). Transfer Matthew Johnston leads goal scorers with 8 goals, along with 4 assists and his 12 points ties him for fourth on the team with freshmen Luke Aston, Lucas Sadownyk and Daniel Beaupre.

In goal the Panthers are led by freshman Jozef Kuchaslo, who is 5-1-0 in six starts with a 1.83 goals against average and a .932 save %. Junior Joshua Robins and sophomore Brett Sweet round out the impressive goaltending trio with 2-0-0 records each, with Robins holding a 2.50 GAA and .902 save %, while Sweet maintains a 1.00 GAA and .962 save %.

With all these impressive statistics to start the Panthers first season in ACHA M1, perhaps the most standout statistic is, through 10 games and 44 opportunities, they have given up just one goal on the penalty kill, while scoring three shorthanded goals.
Next up for the Panthers is a visit to Grand Rapids, MI Nov. 8-9 to take on the #21 Davenport University Panthers, followed by the final home series of the Fall semester Nov. 15-16 against the #8 University of Oklahoma Sooners.
