Drury Dominant in Season Opener Against UCO Bronchos

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - On Sept. 5, 2025, the Drury hockey team showcased a dominant performance in their regular season opener, outscoring the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) Bronchos with a decisive 6-0 victory at Brightspeed Ice Park. This game not only marked the beginning of their season but also set a strong tone with their shutout win.

The Panthers established a solid lead early in the game, ending the first period with a 4-0 score. Luke Aston, Levi Brewer, Daniel Beaupre, and Jamison St. Clair each scored, setting the pace of the game. Beaupre showcased an outstanding performance by netting another goal in the second period, bringing the score to 5-0. The final touch was added by Devin Jameson in the third period, concluding the game at 6-0. Key to their success, the defense, led by goaltender Jozef Kuchaslo, maintained firm control throughout the game, keeping UCO at zero.

Assists were another highlight, with Jamison St. Clair, Russell Kosec, Jarrod Gale, Nolan Bowsher, Lucas Sadownyk, Matthew Johnston, Devin Jameson, and Anmol Garcha contributing to their team's strong offensive performance. Luke Aston's first-period goal was also the game-winner, adding to the day's excitement.

Coach Jeremy Law commented on the victory, 'It's a great start to the season, picking up a nice win, including a shutout. We have a lot to work on before our schedule starts getting tougher, but we have another opportunity tomorrow to build on this start.' The Panthers will face UCO once again on Sept. 6, 2025, at Brightspeed Ice Park, aiming to continue their winning streak.
