SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury is at home for the final time in the 2024 regular season as they host Rockhurst on Saturday and William Jewell on Sunday at Thompson Field in Springfield. Both doubleheaders start at noon. Sunday is Senior Day for the Panthers, and the team will honor their graduating players after the second game of the doubleheader.
The Panthers are 24-19 and 12-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, coming off a split against Southwest Baptist. Drury won game one, extending their winning streak to a program-best 12 games. In game two the Panthers lost 3-1. Drury is in third place in the league standings.
Rockhurst goes into this matchup 14-20 and 9-11 in conference play. The Hawks went 3-1 last weekend, sweeping Quincy and splitting with Illinois Springfield. Rockhurst is ninth place in the GLVC.
William Jewell is 22-26 on the season and 5-15 in the GLVC. The Cardinals split with Illinois Springfield and swept Quincy last weekend. They also lost twice to Newman in a midweek non-conference clash on Tuesday. The Cardinals are at Southwest Baptist on Saturday before coming to Springfield. William Jewell enters the weekend in 13
th place in the conference.
Drury has gone 15-18 all-time against the Hawks and are 15-14 against William Jewell.
The Panthers will travel to the St. Louis area next week as they conclude their regular season next weekend against Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday and McKendree on Sunday. Both games start at noon.
