Volleyball Enters the Opening Weekend of Conference Play
The Drury Panthers return home for the opening weekend of Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play against Indianapolis and Lewis.

The Panthers sit at 6-4 overall and are coming off two losses to #23 Central Missouri and #4 Nebraska-Kearney, both on the road. The six wins of the season have matched Drury's total wins from a season ago. Kayli Duncan has led Drury all season breaking the single-game record for solo blocks against Southwest Minnesota State, prompting her to win the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week. Drury has dropped two in a row following their 6-2 start of the season.

On Friday Indianapolis comes to Springfield. Indianapolis enters this weekend with a 10-2 record. The Greyhounds spent last weekend at the Bobcat Tournament hosted by Frostburg State. Indy did not lose a single set in the four matches they played. Indianapolis was picked to finish fifth in the conference by coaches in the preseason poll.

Following the game against Indianapolis, Drury host Lewis. The Flyers play Southwest Baptist the day prior in Boliver. Lewis currently sits at 7-5. Last weekend, Lewis went 3-1 when they took a trip up to New York. The lone loss came to Bentley on Saturday. The regaining GLVC champions were picked to finish atop of the league this season.

Following the two matchups this weekend, Drury hits the road for two more conference matchups at Missouri S&T and Maryville.
