SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury women's swimming & diving team opened the 2024-25 season with a dual at Arkansas and fell to the Razorbacks 140-95 on Friday in Fayetteville.

Highlights

• Mellie Wijk, a senior from Sweden who was the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year last season, won the 200 IM (2:05.36)
• Maria Munoz, a sophomore from Lima, Peru, took first in the 500 Free with a time of 5:24.23
• Claire Conover finished first in the 200 Breast. The senior from Wichita, Kan., posted a time of 2:22.70
• Drury won the 200 Free Relay with their 'A' squad of Ashlyn Moore, Ellie Walker, Kirsten Lee, and Anastasiia Yermishyna combined for a time of 1:38.88

The Drury women's team competes again on Oct. 25 with a dual at Missouri State. The DU men's squad opens their year on Oct. 4 in a dual at Missouri S&T.
