INDIANAPOLIS — Drury sophomore Sophia Deane earned Athletic Solutions Great Lakes Valley Conference Athlete of the Week in swimming and diving following standout performances last weekend against NCAA Division I foes Arkansas and TCU in the Panthers' season-opening double dual.

Deane turned in a trio of podium finishes against Division I competition Saturday in Fayetteville, highlighted by a third-place effort in the 100 Back with a personal best of 55.65. The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native also picked up a bronze in the 200 Back (2:01.79), and helped DU's 200 Medley Relay team to a third-place finish (1:44.39) with a leadoff leg of 26.25 -- also a personal best in the 50 Back.

The GLVC honor is the first of Dean's Drury career, as well as the first for a Panther since Gwen Bergum and Alvaro Zornoza swept the two swimming awards on Jan. 20, 2026.
