SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury swimming and diving kicks off its 2025-26 season this weekend at Breech Pool, as the DU women host Arkansas Friday for afternoon, before the men welcome fellow GLVC member Missouri S&T for a Saturday afternoon meet. Competition begins at 3 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday, with live results available via the Meet Mobile app.

The Drury women are coming off of a national runner-up finish at the 2025 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships, while the DU men officially placed third at the national meet in March.

The Drury swimming programs will once again be led by Brian Reynolds, one of the nation's most accomplished collegiate swimming coaches. Reynolds enters his 43rd year as head coach of the Panthers men's team and his 38th season leading the women's program.

"We're very excited to welcome a large class of freshmen as we begin our season of competition," Reynolds stated. "We have a talented group that is prepared to work hard and overcome any obstacle in our pursuit of excellence, in and out of the pool. Our schedule is filled with some of the top swimming programs in the country and we are eager to compete."

PANTHERS TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND

  • Under Reynolds' direction, the Panthers have amassed 33 national championships since the Drury graduate took the reins of the program from Hall of Fame head coach Jack Steck in 1983; Reynolds has led DU to eight NAIA men's national titles and 12 NCAA Men's Division II crowns, as well as three NAIA women's national championships and 10 NCAA Women's Division II national titles.
  • Lucas Mineur (sprint free/relays) returns for the Panthers after placing sixth at last year's NCAA Championship in the men's 50 free, while also lending his talents to DU's 800 free relay team, which finished as national runner-up, as well as the Panthers' 200 medley relay (4th) and 200 free relay (7th).
  • Belen Morales (free/relays) was a relay stalwart for the DU women in 2024-25, helping power a pair of Panthers' relay teams (400 medley and 800 free) that placed second at the NCAA Championship.
  • Matteo Vissotto (free/relays) returns to Drury after posting a pair of top-five finishes at the national meet in March, capping his season with a fourth-place finish in the men's 500 free and fifth in the 200 free; he also anchored the Panthers' 800 free relay team that placed second.
  • Maria Munoz (IM) turned in a strong national meet as well for the Drury women, finishing as the 10th leading scorer overall in Indianapolis; A CSC Academic All-District honoree, she returns following a fifth-place national finish in the 200 fly and sixth-place finishes in the 200 IM and 200 back, in addition to helping DU's 200 medley relay to a seventh-place finish.
  • Alvaro Zornoza (back/IM) was one of Drury's top performers at the NCAA Championship, placing second (to fellow Panther Ivan Adamchuk) in the men's 100 back and third in the 200 back; he also helped pace the Panthers' 800 free relay squad that finished as national runner-up.
  • Nikol Maniko (back/IM/relays) takes aim at a big sophomore season after a strong rookie campaign that culminated in a strong effort at the NCAA meet in March; she finished 11th overall in the women's 200 IM, while helping the Panthers' 200 free relay team to a 12th place showing in Indy.
  • Joao Nogueira (breast/IM/relays), a senior from Brazil, will look to duplicate a standout junior season that concluded with a strong showing at the NCAA Championship; Nogueira placed fifth individually in the men's 400 IM, while helping the Panthers' 800 free relay team to a runner-up finish.
  • Ashlyn Moore (sprint free) will be looking for a strong senior campaign for the Drury women; the Springfield native and CSC Academic All-District honree turned in a 14th place finish in the 50 free at the NCAA Championship, in addition to playing key roles on three Panthers relay squads -- 200 free, 400 free and 200 medley --- that placed among the top 12 teams in Indianapolis.
  • Belhassen Ben miled (fly/IM), a freshman from Tunisia, is expected to contribute to the Drury men's efforts as a rookie in butterfly and IM events.
  • Petra Baumane (sprint free), another highly-touted freshman for the DU, will look to leave her mark in sprints in her debut season with the Panthers.
