SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Quincy overcame a strong opening set by Drury volleyball to rally for a 3-1 victory (25-17, 18-25, 17-25, 23-25) over the Panthers in Great Lakes Valley Conference action Friday evening at O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Ella Rademaker, Mailie Chretien and Jacy Bray registered double-doubles for Drury, which fell at home for just the second time in eight matches at The O' this season. The duo of Rademaker and Chretien combined for 29 kills and 29 digs, while Bray added a team-best 19 assists and 15 digs. That combination helped fuel DU's convincing 25-17 opening-set win.
But the Hawks (16-5, 5-2 GLVC) rebounded to win three straight sets, including a 25-23 see-saw fourth set that featured seven ties and two lead changes. Susanna Beretti led the way with 17 kills, while Zeynep Cetin logged 13 kills on .619 hitting and five blocks for QU.

- DU limited Quincy to .125 hitting and used a 7-0 scoring run to seize control of the set.
- Grace Gardner and Skylar Hilton combined on three block assists to help spur the early surge for Drury.
- The two clubs played to a 7-6 QU advantage before the visitors reeled off five straight points to take command.
- Drury sliced the margin to two points late in the set, using a 10-6 spurt thanks in part to three kills from Rademaker.
- But the Hawks claimed seven of the final nine points of the set to pull away for the 25-18 decision.
- The third set saw the visitors build an early 7-2 advantage, then seal the decision with an 8-4 scoring run.
- DU never got closer than four points down the stretch, as the Hawks put away the 25-17 victory by winning five of the last six points.
- Rademaker came through with seven kills in the fourth and final set, as neither club led by more than three points until QU claimed three straight points to grab a 19-15 cushion.
- DU battled back, closing to within 24-23 on a Hilton kill, but a Panther attack error finished off the set and the match for the Hawks.
