In the first 20 minutes, the Panthers fired seven shots, with four on net. Then, in the 22nd minute, Holland Hawkins drilled the eighth attempt from 35 yards out, assisted by Leah McDonald. Drury's pressure continued into the second half.

In the second half, Drury kept testing the Cardinals' goalkeepers until the Panthers broke through in the 65th minute with two goals, one from Elli Davison and the other from Baylea Davis. The Davis goal closed the scoring, giving Drury the 3-0 win.
