SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury volleyball opens the home stretch of its Great Lakes Valley Conference season this weekend with road matches against Upper Iowa (Oct. 31) and Truman State (Nov. 1).

The Panthers (13-9, 3-4 GLVC) will be looking to stop a two-game GLVC slide, following home setbacks to Quincy and Illinois Springfield last weekend. Upper Iowa (5-16, 3-5 GLVC) is coming off a split of its most recent conference contests, including a 3-1 win over William Jewell and a straight-sets loss to Rockhurst.

Truman State (9-14, 4-4 GLVC) matched UIU's results against Jewell and Rockhurst and enters the weekend looking to improve on its .500 mark in GLVC play.

Fans may follow the action through the
GLVC Sports Network (subscription required), where matches will be streamed live throughout the regular season. New for the 2025-26 academic year, viewing access to live broadcasts from GLVC regular season and postseason contests will be available via monthly subscription ($30) or annual subscription ($140). Single-event access can also be purchased for $15.

SERIES HISTORIES

  • Drury has won two of its three meetings with Upper Iowa, including a 3-2 victory over the Peacocks last October in Springfield.
  • UIU claimed the last meeting of the two clubs in Fayette, edging the Panthers in four sets in October 2023.
  • Against Truman State, DU has gone 9-16, but the Panthers have won three of the last four matchups in the series dating back to 2021.
  • Under head coach Jenifer Bahner-Hill, DU is 1-1 against UIU and 7-6 vs. Truman State dating back to 2014.

OPENING STORYLINES

  • Ella Rademaker enters Friday's match riding five-straight double-digit kill performances dating back to Oct. 17, including a Drury career-high 27 last Saturday vs. UIS; Rademaker also logged her first double-double as a Panther with her 18-kill, 13-dig effort against Quincy (Oct. 24).
  • Rademaker leads the Panthers with 274 kills (3.34 per set) on the season, which ranks sixth among all GLVC attackers; the senior transfer's 1,321 career kills rank eighth among all active NCAA Division II players and No. 2 on the GLVC's active list, trailing only Maryville's Ella Brinkmann (1,347).
  • Lauren Tyler brings a career total of 2,308 assists into the weekend, ranking 10th on the Panthers' all-time list, just 14 behind Karen Smith (2,322) for ninth and 81 shy of Julie Coble in the No. 8 position on the chart.
  • With last weekend's setbacks vs. QU and UIS, Drury fell to 6-3 at O'Reilly Family Event Center this season with its first back-to-back home losses since Sept. 27-28, 2024 vs. Indianapolis and Lewis.
  • In her 12 seasons as head coach at Drury, Bahner-Hill (2014-present) has registered 170 career victories, which ranks second in DU history behind Barbara Cowherd's 487 wins as head coach of the Panthers (1980-99).
  • With 13 victories entering Friday's match, Drury needs just one more win to match its 2024 season total, which would also give the Panthers their top season win total since going 20-11 in 2021.
  • Skylar Hilton's team-leading total of 79 blocks represents the most by a Drury freshman under Bahner-Hill (since 2014); her total is the best by a Panther rookie since Jessica Burns' 84 in 2007.
  • Mailie Chretien saw her streak of four consecutive double-doubles come to an end Saturday vs. UIS; the senior has a team-best six double-doubles on the season.
  • Kim Quinit has recorded double-digit dig totals in 11 of the Panthers' last 13 matches since Sept. 20.
  • Drury ranks fourth in the GLVC and 42nd nationally in total kills (1,082).

  • Tyler brings the GLVC's No. 3 season total for service aces (36) into Friday's match.
  • Hilton's .316 hitting percentage rates as the No. 10 figure in the conference, while her 79 blocks rank seventh among all GLVC players nd 69th nationally.

  • Freshmen Megan Howard, Alyssa Lindemann, Caroline Red, Amelia White, Hannah Williams and Hilton make up a talented and deep class of newcomers and could give Bahner-Hill additional options throughout the fall.
