DALLAS — Drury men's and women's swimming and diving delivered another strong performance on day two of the SMU Invitational Thursday at Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center. 

Highlighting the day for the Panthers were Gwen Bergum's performances in the 400 IM (4:21.31) and 100 breast (1:02.87), as the junior from Norway placed sixth and eighth, respectively. Maria Fe Munoz narrowly edged Bergum in the 400 IM, placing fifth with a swim of 4:18.99.

Belen Morales also registered a solid effort for the Panthers in the women's 200 free, finishing sixth with a time of 1:47.77.

The Drury men finished fourth in the 200 free relay, with Marwane Sebbata, Lucas Mineur, Matteo Vissotto and Yuri Cabral teaming up on a time of 1:18.54.

Mineur turned in a fifth-place individual finish in the men's 200 free, registering a swim of 1:34.59. Vissotto (1:35.81) finished 11th in the same event, while Alvaro Zornoza (1:35.92) placed 12th. Additionally, Joao Nogueira recorded a swim of 52.63 in the men's 100 breast to place fifth.

OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Ashley Leader placed ninth in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.18, while Alyssa Freimanis (1:04.13) and Ella Gunnarsson (1:05.12) finished right on her heels in 10th and 13th place, respectively.
• The Panthers' women's 200 free relay placed fifth, as the team of Morales, Ashlyn Moore, Nikol Maniko and Petra Baumane clocked a time of 1:32.48.
• Belhassen Ben miled placed 13th in the men's 400 IM with a time of 3:50.36.
• In the men's 1-meter diving competition, Carter Austin placed 14th overall with a finals score of 240.55.
• Maniko placed 13th in the women's 200 free with a swim of 1:49.71.
• Elliot Weber placed 14th in the men's 100 breast with a time of 54.37.
