Drury Men's Soccer Set for GLVC Quarterfinal Matchup Against McKendree

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury men's soccer opens postseason play Sunday against McKendree in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament. Kickoff in Lebanon, Ill., is set for 3:30 p.m.
 
Drury faces McKendree for the second time this season after the teams played to a scoreless draw in Springfield earlier this fall. Going into the first matchup in September, Drury was 1-2-3 overall. Since the previous matchup, the Panthers are 7-2-1 and have won five straight.
 
The Panthers are coming off a 3-1 win over Oklahoma Christian in their last regular-season matchup.  
 
Sunday's matchup will be carried live on Great Lakes Valley Conference Sports Network (GLVCSN.com).
 
SERIES HISTORY VS. MCKENDREE

  • Sunday marks the 16th meeting between Drury and McKendree. 
  • Drury holds an 8-4-3 record all-time against the Bearcats.
  • McKendree is outscoring Drury 5-4 over the last five matchups.
  • The Panthers travel to Lebanon, Ill., for the eighth time and are 3-2-2 on the road against the Bearcats.

The winner of the Drury and McKendree match will meet the winner of the Lincoln, Missouri S&T match in the semifinal. The GLVC Tournament semifinal will take place at Creve Coeur Park in St. Louis.
