KIRKSVILLE, Mo.— Truman State shot 47 percent from the field and made 11 three-pointers on their way to a 79-63 win over Drury on Thursday night at Pershing Arena in Kirksville, Missouri.
The Panthers dropped to 10-11 and 5-9 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Bulldogs lifted their record to 13-8 and 7-6 in the GLVC.
Truman State built a double-digit lead nine minutes into the game, going ahead 25-14, and owned a 43-29 lead at halftime. The Bulldogs led by as much as 21 in the second half, but Drury had three chances to cut Truman's lead to single digits in the final seven minutes but came up empty on each trip.
Freshman guard
Colin Hardrick had a season-high 26 points and added eight rebounds.
Xavier Hall and Kobi Williams both had 18 points to lead Truman State.
The Panthers shot 40 percent from the field, hitting 25 of 62 attempts, but were just 6 of 21 from three-point range. The Bulldogs made 27 of their 57 shots, and went 11 for 29 from three-point range. Truman State was also 14 for 16 from the free throw line. Truman State outrebounded Drury 39-31.
The Panthers continue their road trip on Saturday when they visit Quincy for a 3 pm game in Quincy, Ill.
