RICHMOND, Ky. – After their first tournament of the spring was canceled due to inclement weather, the Drury Panthers are playing in their first event of 2025 and are in 16
th place on Monday after two rounds of play at the Findlay Spring Invitational at 6,749-yard, par-72 Boone's Trace National Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky.
Drury is 29-over par as a team, shooting a +17 in the first round, then a +12 in their second 18 holes of the day. The Panthers lead Lake Superior State by four shots and are eight shots behind Kentucky Wesleyan for 15
th place.
Hunter Jowers leads Drury and is in 34
th place in a 100 player field after shooting a +3 in 36 holes on Monday.
Wil Claywell is at +7 and is in 60th, while
Skyler Syverson is 66
th having shot eight-over par. Gage Lewis is in 82
nd (+11) and
Kal Kolar is 94
th (+16).
Scores were low in the 18-team field as host Findlay and Missouri-St. Louis ended the day tied for first at nine-under par. Four teams shot under par on Monday, while Hillsdale shot even par, and four other teams were within 10 shots of par after 36 holes.
Connor Benjamin from Missouri S&T shot 10-under par and is in first place overall and has a two-shot lead over Josh DiCarlo from Wayne St. (Mich.).
The tournament concludes with the third and final round on Tuesday.
