WHEATON, Ill. – Drury finished fourth among 13 teams at the Lewis Spring Invitational held at the Cantigny Golf Club in Wheaton, Illinois, on Tuesday.
The Panthers finished with a team score of +29, 605 and finished one shot behind third-place Maryville. Drury was eight shots better than host Lewis, who finished fifth. William Jewell won the tournament at 23-over par and Davenport was one shot behind at +24.
Hunter Jowers led the Panthers and tied for 11
th in the 72-player field after finishing with a seven-over par 151.
Alex Wiseman tied for 17
th (+8, 152), and
Gaige Lewis came in tied for 22
nd (+10, 154).
Ellton Bostrom finished with a +11, 155 to finish tied 25
th, and
Wil Claywell tied for 30
th with a 12-over par 156. Playing as individuals,
Max Ellis tied for 35
th (+13, 157), and
Christian Cooper finished 53
rd (+18, 162).
Bryson Oots from William Jewell won medalist honors, finishing one-under par (143).
Drury returns to action April 6-8 at the Ken Partridge UIndy Invitational at Purgatory Golf Club in Indianapolis, Indiana.
