Drury closes in on 400 program wins as they host Rockhurst and Jewell
Drury will host Rockhurst and William Jewell this weekend. The Panthers are two wins away from their 400th program win.

The Panthers are riding a five-game winning streak entering play this weekend and winning eight of their last nine games. This past weekend, Drury swept both Truman State and Quincy. AJ Agers was an all-around star for the Panthers in those four games, pitching 15 innings with two wins and a save. In the batter's box, she had four hits and three RBIs. In the second game against Truman, Victoria Garland had two home runs, the first this season that Drury as a team hit multiple in a game. She also had one earlier in the week against Missouri Western. The Panthers nearly gave up their largest comeback of the season in the second game against Quincy. Leading 7-1 entering the bottom of the third, Quincy scored six unanswered runs to tie it in the fifth. An AJ Agers homer in the sixth would push Drury over the top for the 8-7 win.

On Saturday, Rockhurst will travel to Springfield. The Hawks enter play this weekend with a 13-17 overall record and a 10-8 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). They are sitting inside the GLVC playoff picture in seventh place. Rockhurst has won six of their last seven games with their lone loss in that span coming to Jewell. The Hawks are led offensively by McKenna Lester who is hitting .342 with 18 RBIs. The ace of the Hawks' pitching staff usually comes out of the bullpen. Riley Braden has a 2.74 ERA and 4-2 record but has only started four of the 12 games she has appeared in.

William Jewell will meet Drury on Sunday after playing Missouri S&T on Saturday. The Cardinals are currently eighth in the GLVC postseason picture with a 22-18 record and 9-9 in the league. Over the last eight games, the Cardinals are 4-4. Drury has won the last 10 games they have played against Jewell. The top bat for Jewell is Amanda Chung. In 119 at-bats this season, Chung is hitting .387 with 21 RBIs. Sydney Parra has thrown 11 complete games for the Cardinals and holds an 11-4 record with a 3.18 ERA.

Drury will host Emporia State on Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 1 pm.
