SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury softball team (28-18, 19-5 GLVC) was listed as one of the ten teams under consideration for the 2025 NCAA-II Softball Tournament in the NCAA's initial Midwest regional rankings released on April 16.
 
The list is published alphabetically to show teams under consideration and most likely to be in the first official rankings on April 23. 64 teams qualify for this season's national tournament, with the top eight teams in the Midwest region earning a spot.
 
The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) holds the most spots out of the three conferences represented in the Midwest region. The GLVC has four teams, including Drury, Illinois-Springfield, Lewis, and McKendree are on the list.
 
Postseason action of the NCAA tournament will begin on May 8-10, with the first-round regionals on 16 different campuses across the United States. Four teams will participate at each regional site in a double-elimination tournament. The 16 teams advancing from regional competition will participate in a two-team, best-of-three super regional at eight sites.
 
The NCAA will announce the final field of 64 on Monday, May 5 at 9 a.m. central time on NCAA.com.
 
The Panthers play their penultimate GLVC doubleheader on Friday at Missouri-St. Louis before traveling to Southwest Baptist on April 27 for the regular season finale.
