SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Two Drury swimmers were named to the 2024-25 men's swimming & diving All-America Team by the College Sports Communicators this week. Ivan Adamchuk, a sophomore from Belarus, and Alejandro Villarejo, a junior from Spain, were both named First Team Academic All-Americans.

Members of College Sports Communicators select members of the Academic All-American team from nominated student-athletes who earned Academic All-District honors earlier this year. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and achieve success throughout the season.

Adamchuk won four national championships for the Panthers this year, taking the title in the 100 Individual Medley, the 200 Backstroke, the 100 Backstroke, and the 400 Medley Relay that set an NCAA-II record. He also finished fourth nationally on Drury's 200 Medley Relay team. Adamchuk also finished in the top three in six different events at the Great Lakes Valley Conference championships this year.

Academically, Adamchuk is a Finance major with a 3.81 grade point average and was named to the Academic All-District team and the Drury Dean's List earlier this year.

Villarejo was an All-American in six events in 2025, placing fourth or better six times at the NCAA-II National Championships. He was on Drury's National Championship and record-setting 400 Medley Relay team, and was on a national runner-up 400 Free Relay squad. He was a six-time All-GLVC performer this year and has earned 11 All-American awards in the last three seasons.

A Computer Science major, Villarejo has a 3.91 grade point average and was a Third Team Academic All-American last year. He has also been named a Scholar All-American by the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America, and has been named Academic All-GLVC twice in his career.

The Drury men's swimming & diving team won the NCAA-II National Championship this season, their 13th national title at the Division II level and the 23rd national championship for men's swimming overall, combining the 10 they won in the NAIA. They were also crowned the 2025 GLVC Champions this year.
