SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury men's swimming & diving head coach Brian Reynolds announced the hiring of assistant coach Patrick Waggoner.

Waggoner comes to the Panthers after having served the last two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Oklahoma Christian. A native of Gilbert, Arizona, Waggoner competed at Biola (NCAA-II) in California and, while there, set program records in the 200 Butterfly, the 200 IM, the 200 Free, and the 400 IM.

"Drury is a superpower in the Division II world of swimming, and being a part of that was always something I've aspired to," said Waggoner.

Waggoner earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Biola and earned a Master's of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian. He swam for the Mesa Aquatics club program for eight years while growing up in Arizona and he qualified for the high school sectional and state championship meets multiple times.

Patrick and his wife, Kayla, will be looking to relocate to Springfield soon.

The Drury men's swimming & diving team won the NCAA-II National Championship in 2024-25, and the women's team was the national Runner-Up last season.
