Drury set to host home STUNT tournament Saturday and Sunday
Drury STUNT will host its first home games of the 2025 season on Saturday and Sunday when it will play four of the top 25 teams.
Â
The Panthers are riding a four-game win streak into play this weekend but have not competed since March 8. The last time Drury was out on the mat was against Centenary College at the Central Arkansas Tournament and they picked up a 12-0 win over the #8 ranked team in NCAA-III.
Â
This weekend Drury will open play with #22 Quincy and #10 St. Mary's on Saturday. Quincy is on a two-game losing streak entering play and in both of those games were shut out. St. Mary's is 2-2 in their last four games with both wins coming over #12 Texas Woman's.
Â
On Sunday, Drury will square off with #16 East Stroudsburg and #14 Purdue Northwest. East Stroudsburg has won three straight, all against NCAA-III schools. The last NCAA-II game the Warriors played in was on March 2 against Trevecca Nazarene and fell 18-8. Purdue Northwest picked up a win over Maryville in their last game by forfeit. Their last full game was a 23-0 loss to Concordia Irvine.
Â
The O'Reilly Family Event Center will host 19 STUNT games over two days. All six of the NCAA-II schools participating this weekend are ranked in the top 25. There are three NAIA schools that will compete in this tournament, all three are ranked in the top five of NAIA.
Â
This is the final regular-season tournament of the 2025 season. Drury will wait to see if they earn a bit for the national tournament in Nashville from April 24-27. The top 11 teams earn a spot in the double-elimination tournament.
