GAME ONE
Coming off a sweep against Truman State yesterday, the Panthers looked to jump on Quincy early in game one. Drury threatened in the first, but the Hawks gunned down
Sophia Luetticke at the plate to keep the sheet clean early.
The clean sheet did not last long for Quincy. In the second,
Reece Anderson reached first on a two-out error from the Hawks' first baseman. Two batters later, Luetticke would single to left field to score Anderson.
Once again in the third inning,

The scoring slowed down until the fifth when the Panthers pushed their final three runs across. Anderson knocked two more runs in on a single to score
Brooklyn LaChappa and
Victoria Garland.
Gabrielle Bax would get the final Drury RBI of the game when she scored
Kelsey Palmer on a hit to shortstop.
Quincy scored one in the bottom of the fifth on a single to right field, closing the scoring at 5-1.

Victoria Garland. The next batter,
Reece Anderson, doubled to score LaChappa.
The 7-1 lead did not knock the Hawks out of it. From the third inning to the fifth inning Quincy scored six unanswered runs to knot it at seven.
