SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – #13 Drury made a strong statement over the weekend, picking up two ranked wins at the Drury Tournament with victories over #16 East Stroudsburg (8-7) and #14 Purdue Northwest (10-5).

Drury vs East Stroudsburg
Against East Stroudsburg, Drury dominated the first half, opening the game with three straight partner stunt wins to take a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. The second quarter continued their momentum, as the Panthers added two more points from cleanly executed pyramid and toss routines.

With a 5-2 lead at halftime, Drury looked in control. However, East Stroudsburg fought back in the second half, capitalizing on forfeits from Drury during jumps and tumbling to close the gap. The Panthers held strong in the four quarter's team routine rounds, earning key points in Rounds 2 and 4 to seal the narrow 8-7 win.

Drury vs Purdue Northwest
Drury entered their second game of the day against #14 Purdue Northwest after a narrow win. They again found success in partner stunts, earning two of four possible points in the first quarter. In the second quarter, they executed pyramids and tosses cleanly, adding two more points before halftime and going up 4-0.

In the second half, Purdue picked up a couple of jumps and tumbling points, but Drury remained composed. In the final quarter, the Panthers dominated, winning two rounds and tying another to pull away for a decisive 10-5 victory.
