Drury Women's Soccer Announces 2025 Schedule

7/1/2025 10:26:00 AM

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury women's soccer head coach Justin Olson has announced the Panthers' 2025 schedule, which includes 17 regular-season contests—nine of which will be played at home in Harrison Stadium.

The season begins with a pair of non-conference match ups against Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) opponents. Drury opens against Emporia State on Sept. 4, followed by a home match against Washburn on Sept. 12. Washburn claimed the MIAA regular-season title in 2024 and earned a berth in the NCAA Division II National Tournament. The Panthers and Emporia State played to a 1-1 draw in Emporia last season.

Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play kicks off on Sept. 14 when Drury travels to face defending GLVC Tournament champion Missouri-St. Louis.

Key conference match ups include home games against 2024 NCAA tournament participants Maryville (Sept. 26) and McKendree (Sept. 28).

The Panthers will step out of conference play on Oct. 22 with a road contest at Missouri Western State. The Griffons were MIAA Tournament champions and reached the Central Regional semifinals in 2024.

Drury will wrap up its home slate on Oct. 26 against Rockhurst before closing the regular season at Southwest Baptist on Oct. 31.

The Panthers' 2025 opponents combined for a 105-100-27 (.511) record last season. Five teams on the schedule—Washburn, Missouri Western, Maryville, McKendree, and Missouri-St. Louis—qualified for the 2024 NCAA-II Tournament, posting a collective 2-4-1 record in postseason play.

The GLVC Tournament is set to begin on Nov. 9, with quarterfinal matches hosted by the top four seeds. The NCAA-II Regional Tournament is scheduled to open on Nov. 20, culminating in the national championship match on Dec. 13 in Colorado Springs.

Drury returns three All-GLVC performers from last season: Holland Hawkins, Katy Fitzler, and Elena Perez. Hawkins led the team with 11 goals, while Perez paced both the Panthers and the GLVC with 11 assists. Fitzler led the nation in shutouts, recording 14 clean sheets in goal.

Head coach Justin Olson enters his sixth season at the helm following a historic 2024 campaign in which the Panthers went 16-3-4 and posted the highest win percentage in program history. Drury advanced to the NCAA-II Midwest Regional Final for just the second time in school history.
