JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Drury bass fishing placed seventh out of 154 teams at the Bassmaster College National Championship, held July 10-12 on Cherokee Lake.
The senior duo of
Camden Kozikoski and
Dayne Kobriger posted a three-day total of 37 pounds, 6 ounces, catching a full limit of fish each day to lead the Panthers in a field that featured anglers from 52 universities.
After weighing in 11 pounds, 7 ounces on day one, Kozikoski and Kobriger sat in 48th place. Their day two haul of 14 pounds, 4 ounces was among the top weights of the day and vaulted them into 10th, earning a spot in the final-day field of 12.
On the final day, the pair brought in 11 pounds, 11 ounces to secure a seventh-place finish in one of the premier events in collegiate bass fishing.
Drury returns to competition Sept. 20-21 at the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) Big Bass Bash on Kentucky Lake in Paris, Tenn.
