NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its men's golf 2024-25 NCAA Division II Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars. Drury had one student-athlete earn the honor,
Alex Wiseman.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
Wiseman played in 14 of the 26 rounds in which the Panthers participated. During the 2024-25 season, Wiseman averaged 76.36 strokes per round, including his best round of a 70 (-2) in the first round of the McKendree Dual Gender Invitational (Oct. 21). The McKendree Dual Gender Invitational was also Wiseman's top finish of the year, with a 17th-place finish.
This selection is Wiseman's second consecutive GCAA Scholar All-American. He was also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Academic All-Conference team.
The junior from Williamsville, Mo., is majoring in Business Economics with a minor in Management.
