SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury swimming and diving concludes its 2025-26 home slate Wednesday (Jan. 28) when it hosts Southwest Baptist for a 5 p.m., matchup at Breech Pool.
The Panthers are coming off a successful home-and-home weekend against cross-town rival Missouri State, Jan. 16-17, with the DU men sweeping both ends of the meet, and the women splitting their two duals with the Bears.

The Drury swimming programs are led by Brian Reynolds, one of the nation's most accomplished collegiate swimming coaches. Reynolds enters his 43rd year as head coach of the Panthers men's team and his 38th season leading the women's program in 2025-26.
LAST TIME OUT...
After sweeping Missouri State at Breech Pool to open their home-and-home dual, the Panthers split Saturday's competition at Hammons Student Center Pool, with the DU men topping MSU for the second day in a row, while the women dropped a narrow decision to the Bears.
The Drury men remained perfect on the season in dual competitions, claiming an 86.5 to 77.5 decision over MSU, thanks to big mornings from Alvaro Zornoza, who posted individual wins in the 200 back and 200 IM,while helping the Panthers' 200 medley relay team to a win. Yuri Cabral also played key roles in DU's two relay wins and earned a win in the 100 free.
On the women's side, Maria Fe Munoz led the Panthers for the second day in a row, posting wins in the 200 fly and 200 IM, and Nikol Maniko and Gwen Bergum picked up individual victories in the 200 back and 200 breast, respectively.
The meet will mark the final home dual for 11 Drury seniors: Alyssa Freimanis, Juliana Harden, Ashley Leader, Ashlyn Moore and Munoz on the women's roster, as well as Josue Hernandez-Tellez, Colby Hughes, Mike Jasinski, Lucas Krueger, Lucas Mineur and Joao Nogueira.
PANTHERS TO WATCH
- Gwen Bergum (IM/free) secured GLVC Female Swimmer of the Week honors for her performance vs. Missouri State; she also native registered individual wins in the 100 and 200 breast competitions, including a personal best of 1:01.94 in the 100; she turned in a second-place swim in the 400 IM (4:29.66), as well as another second-place showing in the 200 IM (2:04.27).
- Nikol Maniko (free/back/relays) posted a swim of 2:03.87 to win the 200 back vs. Missouri State; she also helped the Panthers' 400 free relay squad (Belen Morales, Sophia Kelly and Ashlyn Moore) to a second-place finish (3:26.64).
- Yuri Cabral (free) powered the Panthers' winning 200 free relay (1:21.65) effort against MSU, along with Elliot Weber, Matteo Vissotto and Lucas Mineur; he also earned an individual gold in the 100 free (44.26), as DU swept the three podium spots.
- Alvaro Zornoza (back/fly/relays) registered another dominant performance against MSU, logging a pair of individual wins in the 200 back (1:44.72) and 200 IM (1:48.95); he also led off DU's winning 400 medley relay performance with a split of 47.05 and helped the Panthers' 200 medley relay team to a win.
LOOKING AHEAD
Drury swimming and diving will prepare for the 2026 GLVC Swimming and Diving Championships, slated for Feb. 10-14 in Evansville, Ind.
