SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury women's swimming senior Maria Fe Munoz has been selected for Third-Team Academic All-America^® honors by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday. As voted by the CSC membership, the 2025-26 Academic All-America^® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. 

Munoz was selected for Academic All-District^® honors for the second year in a row earlier this month following a breakthrough senior campaign for the Panthers. The Cajamarca, Peru native earned three individual All-America citations at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships, including a national runner-up finish in the 200 fly after claiming the Great Lakes Valley Conference individual title in the same event. Munoz also placed fifth in the 400 IM and sixth in the 200 IM and picked up All-America honors in the 200 medley and 400 medley relays at the national meet as well.

Munoz concluded her Drury career as a four-time All-America honoree in the 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM. She has also earned Academic All-GLVC recognition in each of the last two seasons while helping the Panthers to top five team finishes at the NCAA Championships in each of her four years at DU.

With her first career selection to one of CSC's Academic All-America^® teams, Munoz becomes the eighth Drury women's swimmer to garner the honor and the third Panther to be named an Academic All-American in the last two seasons, joining former teammates Claire Conover and Mellie Wijk, who each earned first-team selections in 2025.

Nominees for CSC Academic All-America^® honors must maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and compete in 75 percent of competitions, or finish among the top eight at a conference meet, or participate in a national championship. 

The CSC will announce its 2025-26 Academic All-America^® Men's Swimming & Diving Team on Wednesday (April 29).
