PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Drury men's golf opened their 2026 spring season in the Pawley's Island Beach Bash in South Carolina on March 9 and 10.
 
The Panthers finished eighth in the field of 17. No. 39 Wayne State won the entire event with a 580. Drury shot a 616, including a second-round 306.
 
On the individual leader board, Josh Lahner (Wayne State) won, shooting two under. Godfrey Subuga (Winston-Salem State) and Giovanni Delorenzi (Gannon) both finished one under.
 
Drury's top finisher was Gaige Lewis. Lewis finished tied for 19th, shooting +8. Ellton Bostrom finished tied for 25th after a strong second round that saw him jump 31 spots, finishing with a +10.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Drury improved their round-to-round total, shooting 310 in round one and 306 in round two.
• The best round for a single Panther in the event was from Ellton Bostrom. He shot +1 in the final round of the event.
• As a team, the Panthers totaled the second most pars in the event with 127, only behind Gannon's 143.
• Gaige Lewis totaled 26 pars in two rounds, fifth most in the field.
